In July, after years of public meetings, testimony, and debate, the Maine Legislature passed LD 404, authorizing extension of the Mountain Division Trail that eventually will run from Fryeburg to Portland. The next step is finalizing the maintenance agreements for towns the trail will pass through so that construction can move forward. Fryeburg and now Brownfield have voted in favor of their respective Trail Maintenance Agreements. Hiram is next.
