It appears two loon chicks have hatched. Chicks are unable to dive, and are therefore more exposed to dangers on the water’s surface including boats. Please be extra careful when boating to avoid endangering or upsetting our fledgling family.

Careful it is! We saw that both mom and dad have been out more and wondered why no one was on the nest! I can’t wait to see them! I have been in either Maine or NH for years and have never seen babies! We are so blessed to witness this!
