Two items of good news here…
Phosphorus testing:
The results are back from the lab with a reading of 7 ppb (parts per billion) from our recent water sample. That’s a relatively healthy number and in line with our recent history of readings which indicate no trend toward increased phosphorus that would heighten the risk of an algal bloom or runaway growth of cyanobacteria. Thanks to Victor L. for sending the sample to the lab.
Invasive Plant Patrol:
A recent tour of the pond by eagle-eyed Elicia C. turned up no evidence of invasive species.
Scouting the entire pond is a big job. Another set of eyes would be a big help. Please contact Elicia through our clemonspond@gmail.com email if you would like to help out as a volunteer for invasive plant patrol.
